Manaslu Circuit Trek, one of the emerging trekking trials is considered as an alternative of Annapurna Circuit Trek. This trek is a teahouse trek that offers plenty of the options in the lower elevation. As you hike to the higher elevation, you will have only limited options. The tea houses on the way have optimal amenities which primarily focus on fulfilling the basic requirements of the hikers.

Next, this trek occurs in the you may not find the varieties of menus in the food. They transport food and other necessary goods carrying themselves or via mules and donkeys. As you march the higher elevations, the accommodation and food become more basic.

Although new lodges/teahouses are being established on the way with better facilities, the prices may increase higher and higher in the elevated lands. But this trial has the cheaper prices for food and accommodation in comparison to other trials as Everest.

You have the option of the camping trek as well. But most of the trekkers prefer to stay in the teahouses due to the convenience and easiness. Although many teahouses were destroyed in the massive earthquake- 2015, many of them are already rebuilt.

  • It costs around USD 6 to 9 a night for a twin sharing room.
  • Throughout the journey, mostly basic private rooms having shared toilets are available but in Dharmasala and Gumba, you may need to share a room with other excursionists if it is the high season.
  • In the dinner time, warm heaters or open fire will be offered in the communal dining area.
  • You are suggested to carry a sleeping bag with you although beds pillows and blankets are provided.
  • In need additional blankets will be provided. But in case of Dharmasala and high pass, you need to pay extra amount costing NPR 200-300 per extra blankets.
  • As the toilets are quite basic and the water there may freeze in the mornings, do not forget to bring toilet papers and wipes.
  • In the higher elevations, teahouses may charge extra for hot water for bathing.
  • You are advised to carry a power bank or some solar batteries to charge your phones. They may charge extra amount of charging camera and cell phones.
  • The menu priced are fixed, So, you are advised not to bargain.
